IT tuition

Introduction

I have been using PCs since the very earliest days of DOS, long before Windows arrived. Prior to that I used similar CP/M-based machines and like millions of other people have worked my way through the various versions of Windows. I ran my own PC dealership and still build my own PCs. I use a number of programming languages such as JavaScript, Java and PHP, and build and maintain various Web sites, so I can find my way around most Windows applications with comparative ease.

I have run adult education evening classes in the use of computers and provided private tuition on a one-to-one basis for many years.

I am fully accredited with:

If you are having difficulty using PC software, then I might be able to help you. I provide tuition in the use of a PCs, a number of Windows applications, plus some markup and scripting languages.

Expertise

Apart from having more than 25 years IT experience, I am also a part-time postgraduate student at Brighton University, on a modular MSc course in computing. During our initial assessment chat, if I feel that I know more about a particular subject than you do and can help you learn more about it, then I let will you know. If not, I will say so. You'll find that I don't pretend to know something when I don't. During tuition sessions, if I can't answer your question there and then, I will do my utmost to find the answer for you. I am committed to lifelong learning and want all my clients to be happy. It's as simple as that.

Prices

I charge £20 per hour plus £5 per additional 15 minutes. So for example, one and a half hours of tuition in the use of an application such as Excel or Dreamweaver, would cost you £30.

Let me know if you think I may be able to help you.
